Life wasn’t meant to be easy….

Or was it?

This 6-week series of Awareness Through Movement lessons will bring that phrase in to question as you explore finding ease in movement. In each lesson you will explore making distinctions around the sensations of each movement. Discover the difference between contraction and letting go, tightness and softness, effort and ease. Improving the way that you organise yourself to move brings benefit to many areas of life. Seemingly simple tasks, like getting out of bed in the morning, can be easier. More complex activities like walking and running begin to feel more coordinated and enjoyable.

I invite you to spend an hour learning how you move the way you do. Discover how holding your goals lightly and softening your drive to be perfect changes the quality of your movement. Be curious, let go, find the length of your muscles, and enjoy something different 😊

Jenny D’Cruz has been teaching Awareness Through Movement classes since 2015 and has also been educating clients on how to move with more ease and efficiency with her work as a Physiotherapist. Jenny has worked in Community Physiotherapy, tertiary hospitals and private practice across a variety of areas of health for over 25 years. Please contact Jenny if you have questions, and if you are new to class you will be asked to complete a confidential medical form in order for her to provide best practice.

 

Class/Dates/Times:

Monday 9.15am – 10.15am 6 weeks: 18th, 25th November and 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd December 2019

Thursday 6.00pm-7.00pm 6 weeks: 14th, 21st, 28th November and 5th, 12th, 19th December 2019

Where: Yoga Moves Studio

             45 Evans St., Shenton Park

The studio is a separate hall attached to the West Subiaco Masonic Hall (‘Google’ 78 Herbert Road for directions) and our entrance is on Evans Street opposite Lake Jualbup.

What to wear: Loose comfortable clothes you can move in (skirts are not suitable). All equipment is provided but it is a good idea to byo towel and arrive 5-10 mins early to prepare.

Cost:  $126 incl a free class pass; $25 casual attendance; concession available. Cash, Card and Direct Debit payment accepted.
