Jenny D’Cruz is a Feldenkrais Practitioner and Physiotherapist.
Jenny discovered through her own experience with Feldenkrais lessons that movement quality and posture can become easy and graceful, and is inspired to share this with others.
Jenny has been teaching Awareness Through Movement® classes since December 2015. In 2017, she qualified as a Feldenkrais Practitioner.
With over 25 years experience as a Physiotherapist working within both the private and public health systems Jenny has extensive experience in the fields of arthritis, osteoporosis, balance training and falls prevention, joint replacement prehab and rehabilitation, pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation. Jenny has taught Ante-Natal and Post-Natal education and exercise programs and worked on Maternity wards looking after mothers with musculoskeletal issues and post-natal care.
Jenny teaches Awareness Through Movement® Classes at the Yoga Moves Studio in Shenton Park.
Jenny practices at the Free2Move Clinic, 150 Vincent Street, North Perth. Here staff bring their knowledge and experience with the Feldenkrais Method, Pilates and Physiotherapy to assist clients to reach their goals for health and well-being.
Jenny also teaches the Pregnant Pauses® Program. This is a unique program designed specifically for pregnant women to learn how to move more easily and comfortably throughout pregnancy.
When women are ready to re-commence exercise after their baby has been born they can continue classes with Jenny that include appropriate lessons to enhance pelvic floor, lower back and hip function. This series will complement a safe and healthy return to previous exercise activities that you may have engaged in.
Jenny believes that educating her clients about their condition and how to manage it enables them to live a healthy lifestyle. Empowering her clients with knowledge and self-awareness results in improved self-management and less dependence on others for treatment.
